How It Works
Start by obtaining the Request for Live Scan Service form (BCIA 8016) from the requesting organization and confirm who will cover the fingerprinting fees. Choose a Capital Live Scan location and check its hours and payment details. Bring valid form of ID and payment if needed. A certified fingerprint technician will scan your fingerprints and submit them to the CA DOJ/FBI, with background check results typically returned to the requesting entity within 48-72 hours.
